Kyp won 4 novice classes in 2002 in his first year of competition to qualify for seniors.

He has also had some high places in intermediate and senior level during his first season.

He qualified for the Pedigree Markies Novice Grand National final in 2002.

He qualified for 2 Pedigree Olympia semi finals in 2002 and at only 2 was one of the youngest dogs in the competition.

Despite Jo being busy with her new business and not getting to many shows he still managed to qualify for a Chum semi final where he came 6th and missed out on an Olympia place by 0.03 seconds.
